Dandelion is very famous for wide array of medical properties as followings:

– Contain potent antioxidants. Dandelion are a rich source of beta-carotene and polyphenolic compounds, both of which are known to have strong antioxidant capabilities that can prevent aging and certain diseases.

– Highly nutritious: The nutritional content of dandelion extends to all parts of the plant. It’s a rich source of many vitamins, minerals and fiber.

– Help Fight Inflammation. Dandelion is effective in reducing inflammation caused by disease due to the presence of various bioactive compounds like polyphenols within the plant.

Can dandelion treat hepatitis B?

Dandelion is said by some people that it can be beneficial in fighting against hepatitis B, because its advantage of fighting inflammation. In their words, hepatitis B refers to inflammation on liver causes by HBV. Unluckily, it is not proved by any institute.

In the view of TCM, dandelion indeed can help reduce inflammations. But due to its property, its anti-inflammation takes effects in diseases, such as mastitis, amygdalitis, gingivitis, trachitis etc, but it shows no such a good effects in chronic hepatitis, including hepatitis B.
